About The Position

The Accounting Associate will play a key role in supporting the finance team by handling a variety of accounting tasks, including tax compliance assistance, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong grasp of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. (ERP experience is a plus)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, including debits and credits.
Experienced with journal entries and knowledgeable in sales and use tax.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing, reviewing, and filing sales and use tax returns.
Ensure adherence to all applicable state and local tax regulations.
Accurately and promptly prepare and post journal entries.
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Support implementation and ongoing compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
Gather and report data for lease-related transactions.
Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial reporting.
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed.
