About The Position

Wherever a brand lives, Star is there to make it shine. Introduction: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting our day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 1-3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a related role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and provide recommendations for solutions

Responsibilities

• Use internal job tracking software to create and send invoices to clients/client services in a timely manner
• Communicate with Client Services and customers regarding all billing matters and needs
• Process remote deposits and electronic receipts
• Track changes and preferences by individual customers to ensure accurate invoices
• Assist with any invoicing corrections
• Assist customers with questions regarding payment method/questions
• Assist with job reconciliation questions in order to final invoice
• Assist with cash application process and questions
• Assist in coding and entering credit card information into internal systems
• Assist with special projects regarding audits, reconciliations, and process of procedure
• Look for and implement areas of process improvement to create more efficient processes
• Other duties as required to meet business needs
