Job Summary: This position provides support to the finance and accounting team by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This role is mainly responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with external agencies, including state offices, regarding filings, sales tax, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic Excel, Word, Outlook skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of state sales tax and compliance a plus.
  • D365 experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with state agencies via phone and email regarding filings, sales tax, compliance, and other accounting-related matters.
  • Support AP by entering invoices or communicating with vendors regarding payments and billing.
  • Process routine vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist other Finance and Accounting team members during audits and collaborate on special projects as assigned by the Controller.
  • Take initiative to learn new processes and continually seek ways to improve department accuracy, speed, and customer service.
  • Perform additional duties and administrative tasks as needed.
