About The Position

Support the Performance Center's financial operations through accurate record-keeping, processing payments, account reconciliation, and assisting with financial reporting. This role serves as a key link between the accounting/finance team and other departments, ensuring smooth financial processes and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Starting as a hardware supply store during the California Gold Rush and eventually assisted in the birth of the aerospace industry in Southern California by providing aircraft aluminum to early aerospace pioneers like Lindbergh, Douglas and Lockheed. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications.

Requirements

Strong understanding of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping practices.
Experience with accounts payable processing, timecard management, and payroll support.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Effective communication and follow-up skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
High School diploma/Associate's/Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in accounting or a related area, or equivalent years of relative industry experience.
1-2 years of relevant experience preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
Process payments to vendors, suppliers, and other external partners in a timely and accurate manner.
Frequent communication with vendors, suppliers and internal customers.
Manage accounts payable processes and ensure accurate coding, tracking, and reporting of expenses.
Assist with payroll processing, including reviewing timecards and ensuring accuracy of employee hours.
Reconcile accounts and verify accuracy of financial data across systems and reports.
Prepare and assist with financial reports, statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Support tax preparation and filing activities in compliance with applicable regulations.
Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate financial operations and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
