The Accountant is responsible for a wide range of accounting activities which consists of general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, Accounts Payables, month-end close and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 2 to 3 years of accounting experience.
- Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) controls.
- Ability to work with all levels of management and operational groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- U.S. Person Required: SkyWater Technology Foundry, Inc. subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applications must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for high volume accounts payables (AP) invoice processing on 2 and 3-way match purchases.
- Supervise weekly AP invoice on hold report.
- Compile and monitor AP Aging Report.
- Forecasting of weekly payment registers.
- Work with Procurement or suppliers to resolve invoice/purchase order discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries and accruals for assigned accounts.
- Assist in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and variances analysis to identify/research/resolve unusual balances.
- Assist in annual external audit as well as our annual 401(k) audit.
- Special projects as assigned.
