About The Position

Sodexo has an opening for an Accountant to join our Banking and Credit Card Operations Team that supports the Reconciliation of all Cash, Credit Card, and Cashless Reconciliation for all of Sodexo's North America Operations. This team plays a critical role in identification of compliance issues, reconciliation variances, and supporting audit. This team aligns within the Treasury Functional Area whose role is to protect and manage Sodexo’s cash and debt, manage the General Ledger to accurately reflect the total cash assets as well as ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and credit card processing partners. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days in office at our Cheektowaga, NY location.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely reconciliation of Banking and Credit Card activities for the InReach Vending Segment banking activities using Frontier, SAP, third-party vendor applications and Excel to manage both Automated and Manual reconciliations for bank activities for the Segment.
  • Investigate reconciliation issues and timely resolve and work to understand root cause of the reconciliation variances.
  • Perform Cash-to-GAAP analysis of vending card sales and payments and Communicate findings to Banking and InReach Finance team.
  • Review Accounting postings reported and work with other related departments, field operations, and field finance teams for the vending segment to ensure that revenue aligns with bank deposit and is properly reconciled to deposit activity.
  • Ensure compliance with company reporting, deposit, and settlement requirements and escalate and work with internal parties to resolve non-compliance.
  • Assist and Prepare Audit Workpapers for Internal and External Auditors and work with Management to answer Audit Questions related to Banking Activities for the InReach Segment.
