About The Position

Waverly Heights, a premier senior living community in Gladwyne, PA, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Business Office team. This full-time, on-site position plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a multi-entity or service-based environment preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations).
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) .
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Paycom, FullCount, and/or QuickBooks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations , investigating and resolving variances as needed.
  • Prepare, record, and post monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
  • Participate in the month-end close process , including preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliation documentation.
  • Record and apply deposits, cash receipts, and payments for multiple entities.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports , including Excel-based schedules and analyses.
  • Support the development of annual operating, labor, and capital budgets , as well as periodic forecasting.
  • Assist with customer billing inquiries for multiple entities.
  • Support audit and compliance activities , including preparation of requested documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and support business office operations.
  • Perform additional accounting and business office duties as assigned.
