Position Overview Schedule – Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm - Flexibility to work additional hours may be required to meet company/project needs. On-Site Requirement: This position requires physical presence at your job location during the scheduled hours. Must be able to reliably commute or be planning to relocate before starting work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a product-based, construction-related, or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting systems/ERPs (QuickBooks or similar preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintains a positive outlook and embraces a collaborative team approach.
  • Shows responsibility and takes pride in their work.
  • Fluent in English, with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger records, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and assist with internal financial statements and management reports.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, inventory accounts, and other balance sheet items.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with the American Capital Group finance team on reporting, audits, and accounting standards.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting activities as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and controls.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
