General Job Function
The Accountant plays a key role in Smokey Mo’s accounting department by supporting day-to-day accounting for our corporate restaurant locations. This position is responsible for ensuring sales and cash activity are accurately recorded, transactions are properly reconciled, and financial records remain clean and timely in Restaurant365. The role requires strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to analyze discrepancies, identify trends, and partner with operations to resolve issues quickly and accurately.

Requirements

• Strong GAAP + detail obsessed
• Comfortable with high volume + repeatable processes
• Restaurant 365 experience (or quick learner)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Proficient use of MS Excel

Responsibilities

• Daily sales summary reconciliations + journal entries
• Upload daily bank transactions into Restaurant 365
• Weekly + monthly bank reconciliations
• Weekly accruals + journal entries
• GL accuracy + timely entries
• Balance sheet / income statement account reconciliations
• Support restaurant ops with accounting needs
• Process weekly AP invoice and AP check run
• Fixed Assets & Depreciation Schedules
