We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Accountant with 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience to join our Finance team. This role spans both General Ledger (GL) accounting and Accounts Payable (AP) responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a team-oriented environment, and understands that strong accounting operations are foundational to strategic finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close
  • Prior exposure to AP processes and cost reporting preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems required
  • A hands-on accountant who values both operational and GL accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player who communicates clearly across departments
  • Process improvement mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience participating in or supporting an ERP implementation or system conversion is a plus
  • CPA or CPA candidate a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and reclasses
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of supporting schedules
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze P&L and balance sheet fluctuations and provide variance explanations
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Oversee and support day-to-day AP processes to ensure timely and accurate
  • Invoice processing and payments
  • Review coding for accuracy and alignment with financial reporting needs
  • Contribute to and help maintain the weekly Prime Cost report
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure completeness and accuracy of cost data
  • Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows and reporting processes
