About The Position

PSC Group LLC has an exciting new growth opportunity located in Pasadena, TX. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking an Accountant role in a family-oriented company that is growing tremendously. The Accountant plays a critical role in the preparation and analysis of business unit financials. The Accountant will collaborate with other PSC departments to complete the monthly financial close, analyze results, prepare monthly journal entries, assist with budget preparation, forecast future financial performance, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of experience in both accounting and financial analysis, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5 years experience in accounting and financial analysis, preferably in an industrial services, manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze data and problem solve.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain highly confidential nature of information and data.
  • Speak, write, read fluent English.
  • Hear and have good vision
  • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in NetSuite and/or OneStream a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze monthly financial information to prepare JE’s and balance sheet account reconciliations, including resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research differences.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for management.
  • Analyze financial statements for trends and variances against prior periods, budgets, and forecasts and report findings to management. Provide insightful commentary on variances and trends, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  • Communicate monthly results to Finance and Operations management.
  • Work with department heads to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
