About The Position

Turner Industries Group is looking for a highly-experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our nested maintenance team at a site in the Pasadena, TX area. Position is 5 8's Monday - Friday. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Maintain and control 480 VAC electrical distribution systems. Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Maintain and control 480 VAC electrical distribution systems. Be familiar with splicing and stress cones. Industrial maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Instrument knowledge a plus. Willing to train on instruments. MUST HAVE Maintenance experience. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, P&ID's, equipment drawings. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen The successful candidate will be local - per diem and relocation are not available for this position NCCER Certification preferred Electrical License required General Job Description: Plans layout, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently. Functional Requirements: Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, Provides access for future maintenance and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring, Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, Pulls wiring through conduit, Splices wires, Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads, Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement, May repair faulty equipment or systems, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

  • Industrial maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
  • MUST HAVE Maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, P&ID's, equipment drawings.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • The successful candidate will be local - per diem and relocation are not available for this position
  • Electrical License required
  • Written pre-employment qualification test or NCCER verification
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Hazard Communication orientation/test
