About The Position

The accountant role is accountable for financial recordkeeping for the Playtech’s operations. The successful candidate should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a strictly relevant field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data manipulation).
  • Soft Skills: Analytical acumen with a natural comfort handling complex figures and data sets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting strict deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP Business One (SBO) is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Recordkeeping & Transactions
  • Journal Management: Post and process all journal entries to ensure 100% accuracy in business transaction recording.
  • Ledger Oversight: Maintain the General Ledger and manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders and internal approvals.
  • AR/AP Management: Direct the accounts receivable process (issuing invoices) and accounts payable (performing regular reconciliations).
  • Data Integrity: Update financial databases continuously to ensure real-time data availability and accuracy.
  • Reporting & Compliance
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Closing Procedures: Assist senior accounting leadership in the execution of monthly and yearly closings.
  • Audit Support: Take an active role in various internal and external audits to ensure productivity, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly to maintain financial health.
  • Strategic Support
  • Special Projects: Participate in high-impact projects that influence financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform additional duties as requested by management to support the evolving needs of the finance department.
