Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in Accounting, Finance, related field, or 5+ years of work experience as an accountant or a similar role.
  • At least two years of experience in accounting.
  • Ability to self-manage time and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels and departments, both internal and external.
  • Displays a prominent level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment, and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
  • General understanding of regulations and guidance such as GAAP and GASB, along with company and job specific regulations such as the GRA, IRS, and FASB.
  • General understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and a cloud-based communication and retention system, such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Accounting system experience required.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of journal entries, processing AR, month-end and year-end entries.
  • Manage fixed assets in ERP module, including recording additions and disposals, ensuring that related amortization and depreciation schedules reconcile.
  • Responsible for banking transactions, including wires and transfers, cash management, including reviewing cash balances and intercompany settlements, and bank reconciliation of multiple accounts and businesses.
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts in and outside ERP system for a variety of businesses.
  • Preparation, review, and completion of monthly financials statements in a timely manner as determined by Management, communicating to management and operations as needed.
  • Assist in external and internal audits, with preparing documentation and reconciliations.
  • Responsible for learning and effectively initiating use of ERP and other software, including troubleshooting and working with business management to resolve issues.
  • Crosstrain with accounting team to assist with the workload if necessary.
  • Available to work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
