About The Position

Under direction, supervises the staff and operations of the Accounts Receivable Unit. Supervises the Accounts Receivable Unit within the Division of Fiscal Operations. Serves as working supervisor. Utilizes applicable accounting systems and source documentation to supervise the preparation, examination, reconciliation, and analysis of highly sensitive statements, reports, and records for the program. Serves as a liaison for the Accounts Receivable program. Conducts studies to aid the processing, reports, methods, compliances, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years college, with courses in business administration and accounting.
  • Requires two years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing, budgetary planning, and control or public accounting.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefers at least five years of experience in accounting, external auditing, budgetary planning, and control or public accounting.
  • Prefers at least three years of Accounts Receivable experience, with specific experience in reconciliations and reports.
  • Prefers at least two years of experience as a supervisor of a staff of two or more.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the Accounts Receivable Unit within the Division of Fiscal Operations.
  • Serves as working supervisor.
  • Utilizes applicable accounting systems and source documentation to supervise the preparation, examination, reconciliation, and analysis of highly sensitive statements, reports, and records for the program.
  • Serves as a liaison for the Accounts Receivable program.
  • Conducts studies to aid the processing, reports, methods, compliances, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
