About The Position

Quality Enclosures is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Accountant & Internal Auditor to join our Accounting team in Central Islip. This position supports core accounting functions while assisting with internal audits and compliance reviews across the organization. The role plays a key part in strengthening internal controls, supporting the month-end close process, and improving financial procedures within a growing manufacturing environment. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–6 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with ERP or General Ledger systems

Nice To Haves

Internal audit experience
Manufacturing, distribution, or construction industry experience
Experience with Sage ERP

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
Perform account reconciliations (bank, inventory, prepaid, accruals, fixed assets)
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
Conduct internal reviews of A/R, A/P, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and expenses
Evaluate compliance with company policies and GAAP
Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements
Maintain documentation of audit findings and corrective actions
Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
Support development of management reports and KPIs
Review accounting workflows and recommend efficiency improvements
Assist with ERP or system enhancements as needed
