About The Position

Join Tulsa Housing Authority as an Accountant III and help create a better Tulsa by transforming lives and communities! CPA Support: We support our licensed CPAs by covering the cost of required annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to help maintain licensure and stay current in the profession. SUMMARY Perform advanced accounting functions and may help Accountants I and II in the finance and accounting operations for the Tulsa Housing Authority (THA) and related entities. Review and approve work completed by subordinates to ensure functions are performed within established departmental policy and procedure. Provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of THA general accounting administrative functions that may be assigned. Assist management in the interpretation and application of Housing and Urban Development accounting regulations and the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles applicable to the THA and related entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and four years; or eight years related experience in budget and financial accounting or an MBA or CPA certificate
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.

  • Strong Excel and GL experience preferred

Responsibilities
