About The Position

As an Accountant III, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting for our U.S. logistics and inventory operations. In this role, you will lead month‑end close activities, analyze large data sets, partner closely with warehouse and business stakeholders, and drive improvements across core accounting processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field).
  • 2-5 years years of accounting experience.
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, and large‑dataset analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits/credits, accruals, reclasses, and financial statements.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during close periods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non‑accounting partners.
  • Commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month‑end close activities for logistics and inventory, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reclasses.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations and financial analyses of inventory transactions, subledger data, and expense accounts.
  • Analyze large datasets using Excel, CIS, Power BI, and ERP systems; develop insights and commentary for stakeholders across warehouse operations and leadership.
  • Participate in forecasting activities, including inventory reserves and operating expense projections.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, with opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits, preparing workpapers and responding to SOX and audit inquiries.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with warehouse teams and non-accounting stakeholders, providing clear explanations of financial activity.
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts, sharing knowledge and supporting their development.
  • Approve operating expenses and conduct variance and budget-to-actual analysis.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects that surface as the team optimizes new ERP processes and evolves post‑merger integrations.
