About The Position

The Accountant II will be responsible for a broad spectrum of key functions within the Finance Department, including the analysis of financial information and the preparation and delivery of financial, regulatory and statistical reports. Along with financial analysis and reporting, this role will play an important part in the planning and budgeting process, completing ad hoc analysis and providing variance reporting to stakeholders. This position will be based out of our Sioux Falls, SD office location, and offers a hybrid work from home opportunity.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the financial services industry is required; insurance industry experience strongly preferred
Experience in developing and maintaining budgets and forecasts is preferred
Strong knowledge and working experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); working knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) preferred
Experience interpreting and analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports
Proven decision making and problem-solving skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting software packages; experience with NetSuite a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
