About The Position

Responsible for supporting the accounting function through accurate financial processing, account reconciliations, and assistance with month-end close activities. This entry-level role focuses on transactional accounting, financial accuracy, and adherence to internal controls within a hospitality environment. The position offers hands-on training and development within the accounting department and is structured to provide growth opportunities for high-performing individuals.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel); familiarity with financial systems a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, integrity, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Equivalent (required).
  • 0–2 years of accounting experience; relevant internships encouraged.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality or Food & Beverage experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Perform daily rollovers of the previous day’s activity for each entity.
  • Review financial data for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Assist with audit requests and documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with property and operations teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Reconcile gift card liability accounts monthly.
  • Assist in supporting Night Audit functions and related reporting.
  • Assist with profit and loss statement preparation.
  • Provide support during annual budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
