About The Position

The Accountant I is an entry-level accounting professional responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role assists with maintaining accurate financial records, performing basic accounting functions, and supporting month-end close activities under the guidance of senior accounting staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships acceptable)
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Good written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Internship or prior experience in a corporate accounting environment
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Office Connect, Blackline)
Progress toward CPA or other accounting certification

Responsibilities

Assist with daily accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and data entry
Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, as needed
Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies
Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Support compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
