The MSEN team, a part of Pratt & Whitney’s Global Supply Chain, is looking for an Account Specialist (AS) in support of Distributed Hardware to manage suppliers and requires outstanding problem-solving skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share and multiple suppliers. As an account specialist your main responsibility will be to ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. You will be the main point of contact for the suppliers you manage, and you will coordinate and lead actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement. The position will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field with 8 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or related field OR; an Advanced degree (MS/MBA) with 5 years of experience
  • Working knowledge in SAP/ MS Office
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with P&W procurement systems and standard work
  • Delivery assurance and risk mitigation experience
  • CORE experience and analytical/metrics driven approach

Responsibilities

  • Supplier relationships: delivery and quality performance, business reviews, underperforming supplier reviews, customer satisfaction
  • Purchase order execution: on time order placement, billing adjustments, negotiation / cost reduction
  • Delivery assurance: ownership of delivery commitment and execution, output support, risk mitigation, driving recovery plans with communication to internal customers, owning the recovery through Line of Balance (LOB) improvements
  • Planning: daily interactions with site materials management team and planner for each value assist operation to ensure material flow and setting priorities at the supplier
  • 20% travel to supplier sites will be required
