This opportunity is in the Account Services department, which is responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line and facilitates the processes between Claims, Underwriting, and brokers. The department offers abundant career opportunities with varying levels of specialty, ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance, and maintains a strong network of team leaders allowing for cross-training and collaboration. In this role, internally known as “Premium Audit Coordinator”, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely completion of premium audits for large casualty and primary accounts within the Premium Audit team. You’ll take ownership of the audit lifecycle—coordinating with vendors, brokers, and insureds to ensure audits are scheduled, completed, and processed efficiently. You will analyze complex exposure data, validate classifications, and ensure compliance with industry rules and internal standards. You’ll be the central point of communication throughout the audit process, proactively resolving issues, managing timelines, and ensuring all parties stay aligned. Your ability to interpret data, apply audit rules, and clearly explain premium calculations will directly impact billing accuracy and customer satisfaction. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role where analytical thinking, organization, and communication skills will set you up for success while contributing to continuous process improvement within the department. This position is classified as Non-Exempt under federal wage and hour laws, requiring clocking in and out for all hours worked and eligibility for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a given workweek.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service mindset with effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related applications
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams, vendors, brokers, and insureds
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years of premium audit or property & casualty insurance operations experience, including workers compensation, general liability, or commercial auto
  • Experience producing reports, analyzing KPIs, and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Insurance designations (e.g., CPCU, AINS, or similar)
  • Experience working with NCCI, state bureau rules, and Premium Audit Advisory Service (PAAS)
