About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a critical role in improving cash performance across designated Operating Areas by resolving payment barriers, managing dispute workflows, and strengthening customer relationships. This role serves as a central liaison across collections, billing, sales, and operating unit leadership. You will report to the AR Specialist Supervisor and will support one or more Operating Areas, requiring schedule flexibility to align with the region’s business hours. On a Typical Day You Will: - Lead monthly cash calls with assigned Operating Areas, creating agendas, facilitating sessions, and tracking action items through resolution. - Analyze and resolve payment issues, collaborating with sales, billing, and customers to address root causes and implement sustainable fixes. - Reduce AR reserves by owning high-impact accounts, driving corrective actions, and ensuring timely follow-through on escalations and customer commitments. - Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams (collectors, billing, sales, dispute coordinators) and customers to ensure consistent communication and timely resolution of issues. - Proactively engage customers to confirm account status, negotiate payment plans, and ensure a positive customer experience. - Prepare monthly summaries and performance metrics to provide visibility to operating units and leadership. - Support process improvement activities, including dispute workflow accuracy, collector assignment clarity, escalation paths, and system clean-up efforts. What You Will Need to Be Successful: - Minimum 3 years of AR or collections experience, with demonstrated dispute resolution capability. - Strong communication skills, able to interact confidently with branch teams, sales, customers, and leadership. - Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, with ability to analyze data, prepare meaningful summaries, and communicate insights. - Experience with JD Edwards, High Radius, or ServiceNow preferred but not required. - Strong prioritization, follow-through, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive sustainable results. - Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to resolving issues end-to-end. Schedule Requirements: Work hours depend on the Operating Area assigned. Requirements
