Position Overview: The Account Manager is responsible for understanding the client's business objectives and challenges and leveraging the TrueNAS product portfolio to provide solutions that meet those needs. The ultimate mission of the Account Manager is to be a trusted advisor to the client, driving business success for both the client and TrueNAS. This is a remote US position in EST or CST timezone. The on-target-earnings of this position is $120,000 to $140,000 USD annually. Please note that the provided range reflects the pay spectrum for positions within the same job category as the one to which this position belongs. The final offer will consider various factors, such as location, education, and prior experience, to ensure a comprehensive and fair compensation assessment. This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, a maximum of 90 days.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in B2B sales for both large and small organizations where brand recognition may not be strong
  • Comfortable being the "underdog" and not just leveraging a name brand to open doors
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, planning, and time management skills
  • Proven track record of handling complex solution sales and medium-long sales cycles
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota while maintaining customer loyalty and required product margins
  • Must be able to prospect and self generate pipeline
  • A positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to be both self-reliant and a team player
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience in Storage Sales and/or Datacenter Technologies preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce a plus
  • Background in Open Source Technologies a plus
  • Familiarity with TrueNAS is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Generate growth around TrueNAS' full portfolio of hybrid and all flash unified storage arrays.
  • Effectively communicate and present the TrueNAS company vision, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy in all communication forms.
  • Handle a complex and technical medium-term sales process from lead to quote to close to maintenance, support, and advocacy.
  • Generate revenue by developing business and securing long-term customer relationships and referrals by demonstrating a steadfast commitment to providing an amazing customer experience by becoming your customers' Trusted Advisor.
