About The Position

SmartAcre is looking for an Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for clients and a leader of a client team. The Account Manager is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction and deliverables are of the highest quality and addressing the client needs as well as contributing to the strategic campaigns completed for the client. Ideal candidates work well with the client team to produce strategic work. They are experienced in B2B and various marketing platforms (such as Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce, etc) combining the two to produce exceptional deliverables. This position is responsible for building trust within the team and with the client through knowledgeable recommendations and clear communications.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience as an account executive or account manager in an agency setting, or related experience.
  • Experience working in a digital agency.
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation tools in one of the following platforms HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo, and/or Salesforce.
  • Proficient in managing digital marketing campaigns and projects with multiple resources, stakeholders, and multiple deadlines.
  • High level understanding of lead and demand gen tactics, including inbound marketing, content marketing, SEO, PPC, and social media.
  • Technical understanding of the pieces that make up a successful digital campaign and how that process is executed.
  • Expertise in beneficial and productive relationship building with the ability to be firm in decision making.
  • Highly organized, self-starter who is both detail-oriented and big-picture thinker.
  • Ability to counter client requests in a cool, calm, and collected manner, and can handle pressure with thick skin. Understands when to say no, push back, and provide alternative approaches.
  • Expertise in data analysis, presentations, and consultative reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work within the United States

  • B2B and Digital marketing experience
  • Certifications are not enough for experience. Must have current working experience in HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the client’s primary point of contact by providing day-to-day support and communication to clients and internal team members.
  • Builds and nurtures client relationships for the benefit of both the client and agency.
  • Takes ownership of the account and its performance, understands the client and their business, including personal and professional goals, nuances, and quirks, and translates those to the greater team for success.
  • Provides a communication bridge between the client’s retainer and additional projects.
  • Coordinates, schedules and leads client meetings while ensuring all agendas (hotlists) are complete and with the client the day prior to the meeting. Ensures client meetings have clear goals and roles for successful flow and communication.
  • Works in tandem with the team to ensure client expectations and goals are met and campaign delivery is up to client and SmartAcre standards.
  • The client’s go-to for performance and progress questions, possessing the ability to manage project timelines, understand performance, and handle any challenges.
  • Inserts monthly plans into an internal project management platform and external client communications tool to support communications, visibility and accountability. Monitors platforms to ensure up-to-date view of deliverables and timelines.
  • Monitors and communicates utilization rates of retainer hours on a weekly and sometimes daily basis to ensure the team is not exceeding budgeted hours for the month. Communicates updates as appropriate to clients to aid in transparency.
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and support occasional ad-hoc client and team requests based on a deep knowledge of the account.
  • Creates monthly dashboards to report monthly metrics to clients in a consumable, approachable manner.
  • Contributes to the reporting process by adding insights to ensure reporting is actively addressing client goals while also maintaining cumulative presentation decks for annual planning and reporting.
  • Provide review of tactics to ensure strategy is applied and delivered.
  • Initiates monthly plans to ensure all tactics and campaigns are tethered to the client’s sales and marketing goals by creating monthly goals and ensuring all tasks contribute to achieving the goals.
  • Contributes to annual strategies for a select portfolio of clients based on conversations, requests and overall objectives.
  • Creates ABM strategies focused on obtaining leads and conversions for clients through digital and traditional tactics.
  • Supports renewal conversations with a selected portfolio of accounts.
  • Alerts agency leadership and team of new project opportunities and supports new project scoping conversations as applicable.
  • Monitors Marketing Automation renewal dates and usage rates (e.g. marketing contacts in HubSpot, Pardot contact usage) to allow adequate time for upsell or purge campaign strategies.
  • Maintains a high-level understanding of the differences in marketing automation platforms, and serves as the escalation point for diagnosing and triaging within each or elevate to MarTech department.
