About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for selling and ordering product for customer accounts. This role serves as the frontline liaison, ensuring customer satisfaction, and is responsible for rotating company product by date, both in the market and in inventory. The Account Manager also aids the merchandising team by keeping products stocked and available onsite. Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company produces, sells, and distributes Coca-Cola and Monster Beverages across Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois, offering a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience required.
  • Basic computer application and technology skills required.
  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines including no major violations within the last three years.
  • This position requires you to use your personal vehicle during work hours with reimbursement. Proof of insurance covering business use is required at time of hire.
  • Must be open to flexible schedule; may be required to work some holidays to meet customer demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail environment or in a sales position being held accountable for sales targets preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Orders product at accounts on an assigned sales route, determining product needs and transmitting appropriate orders using technology for order processing and inventory.
  • Executes and sells big event marketing, pillar programming, innovation, and mandated features and ad activity to meet customer satisfaction and company standards, potentially selling Customer Marketing Agreements (CMA).
  • Builds, changes, and removes product displays and POS (Point of Sale), ensuring proper pricing, cleaning product space, securing damaged/defective product, repacking when possible, and maintaining POS advertising.
  • Communicates account activities with customers to ensure quality and timely service, collaborating internally with merchandisers and drivers on goals, projects, and daily account needs.
  • Ensures consistent adherence to merchandising and customer service standards, stocking and merchandising products in allocated beverage sections including coolers, racks, and secondary displays.
  • Maintains end-to-end ownership of the account through appropriate action and/or communication.
