About The Position

The Account Manager, New Business is a growth‑focused sales professional responsible for acquiring new mid‑market customers and taking market share from competitors. This role is accountable for net‑new logo acquisition, competitive displacement, and expansion of Ricoh solutions within newly acquired accounts. Operating as a front‑line hunter, the Account Manager proactively identifies, engages, and converts mid‑market prospects by developing a deep understanding of customer business challenges, competitive environments, and digital transformation priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of new‑business sales experience in a hunter‑focused role
  • Proven success winning competitive sales opportunities
  • Strong business acumen with consultative selling expertise
  • Demonstrated hunter mindset with disciplined prospecting skills
  • Strong competitive selling and objection‑handling capabilities
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships with decision‑makers
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • High learning agility and adaptability in a fast‑paced sales environment

  • Experience selling IT, software, or technology‑enabled services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own net‑new customer acquisition within the assigned mid‑market territory
  • Proactively displace incumbent competitors through value-based selling and strategic account targeting
  • Build and manage a strong prospect pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and marketing‑generated leads
  • Conduct consultative discovery to uncover unmet business needs and customer challenges
  • Position Ricoh solutions as differentiated offerings that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to decision‑makers, both virtually and in person
  • Collaborate with internal partners (sales support, operations, solution specialists) to win competitive opportunities
