About The Position

The Qt Company is seeking an Account Manager to join our team and focus on Key Accounts in the German market. This position is ideal for an ambitious sales professional looking to develop within a team of highly experienced Key Account Managers. You'll be working alongside senior colleagues, gaining direct exposure to strategic account leadership and complex enterprise engagements. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with large key accounts across the consumer, industrial, defense and space, and automotive sectors. Your main goal is to create net new business by expanding collaboration with existing clients through a strategic upselling/cross-selling strategy. This requires cultivating strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers and clearly articulating the benefits of adopting the full Qt Company portfolio (the Qt framework and our Quality Assurance software). This role demands a proactive approach to account management and a consultative partnership in advising companies on how best to leverage Qt to achieve their critical business goals. This position is based in Paris, France.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of work experience with 2 years in selling or consulting IT for the consumer, industrial, defense & space, or automotive markets (ideally SaaS).
  • Experience in managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable goals
  • Ability to be the technology advisor to prospects and customers
  • Demonstrate the ability to build rapport with existing and prospective clients
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Native French or German communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluent in English, as this is our working language

Nice To Haves

  • Existing contact network in large French or German companies is a plus
  • Experience or network within the embedded systems market is a strong plus
  • Familiar with Software Development tools, Software Development Life Cycle, Sales Training (MEDDPICC), and Salesforce are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level stakeholders across both technical and business functions - including Heads of R&D, Engineering Directors, Product Managers, COOs, and CFOs
  • Proactively identify and prospect new sales opportunities within existing key accounts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement and qualification to negotiation and closure
  • Follow up on inbound leads generated by Marketing and convert them into qualified opportunities
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales proposals tailored to customer needs and business objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Key Account Directors who lead the overall customer engagement strategy
  • Work with sales management to define and execute account strategies that drive growth and retention
  • Establish and nurture long-term, trusted partnerships with customers
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities relevant to the Qt portfolio
  • Maintain accurate and timely account plans, forecasts, and activity reports weekly
