Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Account Manager to join our Inside Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all inside sales functions for an assigned group of outside sales representatives and customers. You will oversee daily account management activities, ensuring seamless communication, high levels of customer satisfaction, and alignment with company business objectives. In addition to account support, this role will actively contribute to business development e􀆯orts by identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts, supporting new customer acquisition initiatives, and collaborating with outside sales to expand market share. The Account Manager will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, increasing revenue and driving long-term account growth.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of inside sales, account management, or customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve and collaborate effectively with both customers and internal teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP and/or the automotive industry is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers by phone and email to process orders and inquiries.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Enter new customer data and update existing sales data in the company database.
  • Partner with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and communications current.
  • Prepare and distribute quotations for customers as requested.
  • Address and overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Respond to customer requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor stock levels and set up stock agreements with customers.
  • Confirm scheduling and order changes and provide timely updates to customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer delivery issues.
  • Coordinate with accounting to arrange customer payment terms when needed.
  • Enter orders accurately to minimize errors or omissions.
  • Provide technical literature to customers upon request.
  • Answer basic technical questions and review customer prints to recommend part solutions.
  • Investigate and process return requests for defective materials.
