We are seeking an experienced procurement professional responsible for all purchasing functions in support of Castings, Forgings, & Raw Material (CFRM) procurement, including: demand validation/prioritization, timely purchase requisition creation, purchase order (PO) creation, PO management, delivery assurance, and exception message management. The Account Manager will be responsible for working closely with Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Commodity Managers, and Operations Excellence. The Account Manager will work with the supplier and internal supplier development teams to ensure supplier capacity, lead times, prioritization, and develop relationships with the forging suppliers. Our Advanced Structures team leverages advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex interior and exterior solutions. These solutions ensure structural integrity of the aircraft, help aircraft take off and land, stay trim in the air, move forward, carry cargo and conduct rescues. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience providing data analysis using MS software (MS Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in ERP systems.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
  • Must be willing able to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Commodity Management
  • Prior experience in castings, forgings, or raw materials
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Sales, Inventory and Planning (SIOP) processes
  • Experience working with MRP systems, preferably SAP with an understanding of Procurement parameters and usage.
  • Experience identifying risks that affect supply and delivery
  • Experience working with project management tools (SOW, WBS, responsibility matrix, change management, resource management, scheduling) to follow up supplier deliverables
  • Experience using root cause analysis for problem solving.
  • Experience communicating both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Experience prioritizing decisions based on dispersion of workload, program priorities, and program directions
  • Knowledge of import / export regulations (ITAR/EAR) Regulations (FAR/DFARS) – ability to place Purchase Orders over TINA dollar threshold

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with site and executive leadership on procurement status, strategies, and complex problem resolution.
  • Communicates and collaborates directly with suppliers.
  • Ensure uninterrupted flow of material to support manufacturing and customer OTD (on-time delivery)
  • Review purchase requisitions against the master production schedule to validate demand
  • Create POs in accordance with requisitions, contractual requirements, and procurement compliance
  • Expedite material as needed, negotiating and prioritizing based on program/site needs
  • Coordinate resolution/disposition of non-conforming parts between suppliers and internal quality
  • Ensure inventory goals and objectives are met
  • Negotiate with suppliers as required for reschedules in support of inventory and business objectives
  • Interface with Supplier Quality personnel to ensure supplier conformance
  • Obtain supplier confirmations and update SAP with commit/return dates
  • Work closely with logistics team to develop standard process of ensuring parts are shipped/received in timely manners
  • May perform delivery assurance responsibilities, and other procurement related responsibilities as required.
