About The Position

NerdsToGo provides managed IT services, cybersecurity, and technology support to small and midsize businesses across the DFW area. We focus on long-term client relationships, practical IT solutions, and dependable support that businesses can trust. We are seeking an Account Manager - Business Services to manage and grow relationships with existing business clients while also helping convert warm leads into long-term managed IT customers. This role is relationship-driven and consultative, ideal for someone who enjoys owning client relationships rather than high-volume cold sales. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring clients are supported, informed, and continuously aligned with NerdsToGo’s services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing relationships, solving client problems, and growing accounts over time. You are not chasing random leads. Requirements

  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with business owners and executives
  • Organized, responsive, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to explain IT services in simple, business-friendly terms
  • Prior experience in account management, client success, or B2B services preferred
  • Not overly technical, but curious and willing to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Background in IT services, MSP, SaaS, telecom, or business services is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned business clients
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with decision makers
  • Conduct regular check-ins to understand client needs and satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities for managed services, upgrades, or additional solutions
  • Follow up on proposals, renewals, and service recommendations
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Help onboard new managed IT clients and guide them through the process
  • Maintain accurate account notes, activities, and follow-ups in CRM
  • Represent NerdsToGo professionally in meetings and local business events
