About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an Account Manager / Business Development Lead to support and grow the Tactical Data Links (TDL) business across U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) customers. This role is customer-facing and focused on developing new business, advancing pipeline opportunities, and strengthening long-term relationships across the Services. The Account Manager will represent the full TDL NGEN portfolio and work closely with internal stakeholders to align solutions with evolving operational and modernization priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong DoD customer engagement experience, deep familiarity with Link 16 systems and operations, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment. This role requires frequent travel and a high degree of responsiveness to customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience selling or supporting DoD programs, systems, or services
  • Active or prior security clearance (Secret or higher) and/or eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

  • Direct experience with Link 16 systems, operations, or programs (Highly desired)
  • Prior military service or operational experience supporting DoD customers (Highly desired)
  • Experience with tactical data links, mission systems, or networked communications (Highly desired)
  • Ability to travel frequently to support customer engagement

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary sales representative for assigned DoD customer accounts and opportunities
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close new business to meet annual operating objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with military program offices, acquisition organizations, and operational users
  • Drive service-aligned campaigns supporting DoD modernization priorities
  • Develop and execute account strategies to grow pipeline and convert opportunities to orders
  • Manage opportunity pipeline and customer engagement activities within CRM
  • Conduct customer visits, live demonstrations, trade show participation, and industry events
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product Line Management, Contracts, Marketing, and Operations to develop competitive solutions
  • Support pricing, delivery, and terms discussions aligned with customer requirements
  • Provide regular updates to sales and operations leadership on pipeline status, risks, and customer feedback
  • Represent customer needs internally to influence product roadmaps and business strategy
  • Travel frequently to support customer engagement
