About The Position

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Account Executive is responsible for driving new business opportunities and supporting partnership development initiatives across NESN’s lifestyle programming, including Dining Playbook, Meet Boston, and New England Blueprint. This role focuses heavily on outbound prospecting, pipeline development, sales materials creation, and contract coordination, working closely with Jenny Johnson and the Marketing & Content Strategy Manager. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and energized by business development, outreach, and sales execution.   We believe in the potential within every individual. Requirements

  • Strong interest in sales, partnerships, and business development
  • Comfortable with outbound outreach, prospecting, and cold calling
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation and pitching skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with PowerPoint / presentation development required
  • Self-starter with proactive mindset and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Wide Orbit or similar systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting and cold outreach, targeting a minimum of 15 new contacts per day
  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective partners aligned with NESN’s programming and audience
  • Support lead generation efforts through consistent calling, email outreach, and networking
  • Maintain organized prospect and pipeline records across internal systems
  • Partner closely with Jenny Johnson on prospecting initiatives, meetings, and opportunity development
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Content Strategy Manager and Jenny Johnson to develop sponsorship decks, proposals, and one-sheets
  • Assist in shaping client-facing sales narratives and partnership concepts
  • Customize presentations and materials based on prospect and category needs
  • Draft client agreements and assist with contract preparation and revisions
  • Enter and manage orders and contracts within Wide Orbit
  • Maintain accuracy across sales systems, trackers, and documentation
  • Track partnership elements and deliverables to support successful execution
  • Coordinate internal materials and information required for partnership activation
  • Support broader sales initiatives across Dining Playbook, Meet Boston, and New England Blueprint
  • Ensure timely follow-up on prospecting activity and sales communications
  • Assist in moving opportunities efficiently through the sales cycle
  • Work cross-functionally with content strategy, production, and marketing teams
  • Provide regular pipeline and prospecting updates to internal sales stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver weekly revenue and opportunity updates to the VP of Sales
  • Maintain clear visibility into deal status, activity levels, and partnership progress
  • Communicate new business developments, priorities, and risks across teams
  • Travel to industry conferences, networking events, and regional activations to promote NESN’s programming and partnership capabilities
  • Represent NESN’s lifestyle brands and offerings in external business development settings
  • Identify and engage prospective partners through in-market events and industry opportunities
  • Support lead generation and relationship development through event participation
