Account Executive - Athletic Surfaces

About The Position

Kiefer’s Account Executives guide customers in choosing and purchasing athletic and sports flooring from our brands, serving both bulk buyers and large corporations. You'll make daily sales calls, develop new business, and offer turn-key services to Sport Facilities Managers, Athletic Coaches, Architects, Designers, General Contractors, and Property Managers. Account Executives' key tasks include presenting flooring options, working with design firms on samples, managing budgets, estimating costs, consulting with owners to offer a variety of sports flooring options based on their needs, and working with projects team to on communications to ensure a successful project.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Background in Athletics; Athletic Minded Individual
  • Valid driver's license: ability to operate a motorized vehicle and willing to travel up to 35% and attend industry trade shows.
  • Strong math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and volume.
  • Ability to assemble and dismantle trade show displays; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional tool use

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Construction Management, or sport related field.
  • Previous sales experience as an account executive, account manager, territory manager, business development, or sales representative in building, construction management, commercial floor installation, or sports related field.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Proven track record of successful sales in B2B environments, particularly in the flooring or construction sectors.
  • Experience with CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Strong network of contacts within the construction, design, and property management industries.
  • Centrally located and able to travel within TN, AL, GA, KY

Responsibilities

  • Compile a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Actively calling on decision makers and positioning Kiefer USA and products lines strategically.
  • Work with suppliers, architects, designers, building owners, tenants, and contractors to choose products that fit their budget.
  • Cultivate relationships with general contractors, end users, and architects that have used our products and services.
  • Give presentations to architects, designers, and end users to educate them on the sports flooring industry and how Flooring Solutions can be a benefit to them on their projects. Presentations should also include information about the installation and maintenance of the flooring.
  • Submit material and labor pricing quotes to existing, new, or potential clients.
  • Work with Vice President of Sales and Eastern Regional Sales Manager to ensure Contracts from Customers are accurate and aligned with estimate/proposal inclusions/exclusions.
  • Work with the project team to coordinate RFI's & submittals.
  • Follow through by visiting job sites during project commencement to ensure quality control and timely installation.
  • Work with the projects team to create and submit cost proposals for changes in work during the commencement of the project.
  • Assist with project follow ups in conjunction with the project coordinator or installation supervisor.
  • Attend trade shows and other events to support the brand.
