About The Position

CDK Global is a leading provider of cloud-based software to dealerships and Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEMs”) across automotive and related industries. The Company’s cloud-based, software as a service (“SaaS”) platform enables dealerships to manage their end-to-end business operations including the acquisition, sale, financing, insuring, repair, and maintenance of vehicles. By automating and streamlining critical workflows, the integrated platform of modern solutions enables dealers to sell and service more vehicles by creating simple and convenient experiences for customers and improves their financial and operational performance. CDK is hiring a full-time outside Account Development Executive who enjoys bringing in new business and building new relationships in a field sales role. This role focuses on creating business relationships exclusively in Competitive Dealership Accounts within a specific geographical area, aiming to grow new market share through conquest sales and selling the full breadth of CDK’s product portfolio. The Account Development Executive will work in conjunction with channel partners to increase sales opportunities for CDK Strategic Products and is expected to achieve an annual assigned sales plan under the guidance of the Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in an outside sales new business development role selling complex solutions to large accounts plus experience in the automotive industry.
  • OR Minimum of 5-7 years in an outside sales new business development role selling complex solutions to automotive dealerships.
  • 75% travel in the field, including overnight travel
  • Experience using consultative solution selling to align client’s business needs with a solution
  • Demonstrated proven track record selling B2B
  • Experience selling Enterprise Wide Software Solutions

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively acquire new business strengthening and influencing key automotive dealer relationships.
  • Create activity by cold calling into competitive accounts daily.
  • Identify and define growth opportunities in the market for the business.
  • Develop an overall sales plan and forecast sales results for both the short and long term.
