About The Position

Our Account Clerk IIs are Member Services Lead Specialists assisting with the management of our front desks in the Recreation Centers providing extensive and direct legendary customer service. Our Recreation Centers are open seven days a week from early morning to late night, including most holidays. Join a team that oversees the public facing operations of the Virginia Beach Community Recreation Centers. A position that fosters legendary customer service to internal and external customers, communicates center program information, oversees point of sale systems, and leads a dynamic front line team of Clerk Cashiers. Assist Office Supervisor with all aspects of managing the office and Member Services Desk. Collaborate with team members from various Parks and Recreation units. Process financial transactions in database and point of sale systems to include: membership sales, program fees, balance cash drawers, prepare deposits and submit daily financial reports; audit daily revenue collections, detect and correct customer account errors for accurate record keeping along with a variety of administrative tasks. Become knowledgeable of our procurement process and offer guidance and assistance to other team members. Create requisitions and purchase orders which may include requests for quotes, audit and process invoices and payment vouchers. Monitor and track expenditures. Experience with training staff and/or providing written staff performance feedback Nights, early mornings, weekends, and holiday work required.
