The Clerk II (General) performs a range of clerical duties requiring familiarity with office terminology, procedures, and documentation standards. This position selects appropriate methods from established procedures and applies limited interpretation of guidelines to complete varied clerical tasks. The role supports office operations by ensuring accurate document handling, record maintenance, and administrative processing activities. Requirements

  • Approximately five (5) or more years of clerical or administrative support experience.
  • Familiarity with office terminology and standard procedural documentation.
  • Experience selecting and applying appropriate clerical methods from established procedures.
  • Ability to follow and interpret limited procedural guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in standard office software applications.
  • Ability to recognize routine problems and refer them appropriately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under general supervision in a structured office environment.
  • Associate’s Degree (AA/AS) required;OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical duties requiring familiarity with office procedures, terminology, and documentation requirements.
  • Select appropriate methods from a variety of established procedures to complete assigned tasks.
  • Apply limited interpretation of guides, manuals, or procedural instructions when processing documentation.
  • Maintain and update electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Process records, logs, and routine documentation with attention to accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare standard correspondence and forms as required.
  • Assist with data entry and record tracking activities.
  • Coordinate document routing and ensure timely distribution of materials.
  • Identify routine discrepancies and refer recognized problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Operate office equipment and utilize standard office software applications.
  • Support general office operations as assigned.
