About The Position

Alo Designer for Accessories is an incredible opportunity in a growing category. This role is vital to the team and brand. As an Accessories Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing a wide range of fashion accessories. Your role will involve collaborating with other designers, product developers, and marketing teams to create innovative and on-trend products that align with the brand’s vision and target market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field experience
  • Proven experience in accessories design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work and design aesthetic.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
  • Strong understanding of textiles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent visual and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior in the fashion industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Accessories Design Director and Executive Leadership on brining the potential of Alo Accessories to life through the following:
  • Ideation & Trend Research – deep dive research online and in-person market research of current and future trends & competitive research.
  • Create – create original designs for accessories, including sketches, color palettes, and materials. Utilize both hand-drawing and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Development – launch, develop, track materials & trims
  • PLM/BOM – complete PLM/BOMs with accuracy
  • Fittings – attend fitting and take detailed notes to ensure fit, construction, and materials, accuracy in each stage of prototype
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and production, to ensure the designs align with brand strategy and business goals.
  • Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts to stakeholders, including management and buyers. Clearly communicate the inspiration and functionality behind each design.
  • Cost Management: Keep track of production costs and ensure designs fit within budget constraints without compromising quality and style.
  • Brand Development: Contribute to the overall brand identity through your designs, ensuring consistency across all accessory collections.
