As an Accessories Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing a wide range of fashion accessories. Your role will involve collaborating with other designers, product developers, and marketing teams to create innovative and on-trend products that align with the brand’s vision and target market.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field experience
Proven experience in accessories design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work and design aesthetic.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
Strong understanding of textiles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent visual and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior in the fashion industry.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Support Accessories Design Director and Executive Leadership on brining the potential of Alo Accessories to life through the following:
Ideation & Trend Research – deep dive research online and in-person market research of current and future trends & competitive research.
Create – create original designs for accessories, including sketches, color palettes, and materials. Utilize both hand-drawing and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Development – launch, develop, track materials & trims
PLM/BOM – complete PLM/BOMs with accuracy
Fittings – attend fitting and take detailed notes to ensure fit, construction, and materials, accuracy in each stage of prototype
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and production, to ensure the designs align with brand strategy and business goals.
Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts to stakeholders, including management and buyers. Clearly communicate the inspiration and functionality behind each design.
Cost Management: Keep track of production costs and ensure designs fit within budget constraints without compromising quality and style.
Brand Development: Contribute to the overall brand identity through your designs, ensuring consistency across all accessory collections.
