Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education required (valid teaching certification in lieu of an advanced degree).
  • Valid teaching certification required.
  • Demonstrated success in instructional coaching or staff mentoring roles.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws (e.g., IDEA, Section 504).
  • Experience with data-driven instruction, assessment practices, and compliance documentation

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Coaching and Staff Development
  • Mentor DSAP teachers and ensure they are supported in their professional development and compliance expectations.
  • Offer targeted support to LTS teachers to ensure instructional consistency during vacancies or transitions.
  • Provide real-time feedback and support to Assistant Teachers (ATs) and 1:1 instructional staff.
  • Instructional Coverage and Continuity
  • Model effective instructional strategies in the classroom for teachers, with a particular focus on supporting LTS staff.
  • Serve as the lead teacher when a classroom vacancy exists, ensuring instructional plans are followed and student needs are met.
  • Assist in lesson planning and delivery aligned with individualized education program (IEP) goals and academic standards.
  • Assessment and Compliance Support
  • Support administration of all state and internal company assessments.
  • Assist with student performance data collection and analysis to inform instruction and IEP development.
  • Ensure ACI and SPC (formerly CASE) documentation and responsibilities are completed in collaboration with the School Director. Step in to support and / or complete as needed.
  • Monitor and promote instructional practices that align with compliance expectations under state guidelines and outplacement policies.
  • Leadership and Program Support
  • Support instructional leadership at up to three school sites
  • Work onsite each day according to a Regional Director-approved schedule to provide consistent, hands-on support.
  • Collaborate with school teams and leadership to strengthen instructional programs and ensure regulatory and programmatic compliance.
  • Professional Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers to support student achievement.
  • Participate in team meetings, instructional leadership meetings, and staff professional development.
  • Communicate regularly with the School Director regarding programmatic needs and progress.
