The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Academic Advisor I. The Academic Advisor I will assist academic departments/units with verbal or written academic plans, advisement interpretation, and implementation of University policies and procedures in the areas of student enrollment and evaluation. WHAT WILL YOU DO: This position provides information and advises both enrolled and prospective students regarding the academic programs offered by the university or a specific department, including requirements for admission and retention through graduation. The Academic Advisor I should have thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Advisors at this level will use Banner but more importantly they understand how databases work then to have practical experience.
