About The Position

Child Saving Institute (CSI) is looking for someone who has a mind full of wonder and a heart-filled desire to make a difference! We’re on a mission to champion what’s best for each child and family. As an Early Childhood Education Site Director, you’ll be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the daily operations of a large early childhood education center, leading and developing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving enrollment efforts, and fostering strong relationships with families and the community. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood education best practices, and state licensing requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, customer recruitment, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the community.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Own transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 6 points.
  • Proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment.
  • Lead and supervise direct reports with responsibilities for hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Implement strategies to improve center culture, staff retention, and overall team engagement.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures in compliance with licensing regulations, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Facilitate staff meetings and oversee employee development initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract and retain clients, ensuring enrollment targets are met.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing family inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct tours, orientations, and parent meetings to showcase program quality and build trust with prospective and current families.
  • Foster strong relationships with families to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including licensing, Council on Accreditation, Title XX, Step Up to Quality, and Nebraska Department of Education standards.
  • Implement and monitor a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain well-equipped classrooms with appropriate materials to support learning.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families, providing clear communication about their child’s progress.
  • Engage in community outreach and partnerships to promote the center and its programs.
  • Manage the center’s budget and ensure fiscal accountability.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting in compliance with licensing and organizational requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety and compliance audits to ensure a secure environment.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children enrolled in the center.
  • Implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
