The 787 Cabin Air Compressor (CAC) SIPT Lead is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of reliability-enhancement engineering activities for the in-service aircraft fleet. This Boeing Commercial role resides within the Environmental & Airframe Control Systems (EACS) division of Collins Aerospace Power & Controls. The CAC is a critical component of the Cabin Air Conditioning and Temperature Control System (CACTCS) and is a key enabler of more-electric aircraft architectures. The CAC Lead is responsible for project execution, including technical, cost, schedule, and quality requirements. This role reports directly to the 787 Program Chief Engineer and interfaces closely with program managers, product line leadership, and operations to ensure efficient communication and alignment of priorities. It also requires close integration with the Electrical Power System (EPS) team and external suppliers. The CAC Lead interfaces directly with the Boeing engineering customer on a regular basis. This hybrid role is based in Windsor Locks, CT, and typically requires 3–4 days on-site per week, depending on project and customer needs. Travel may be up to 20%.
