About The Position

Cleveland Brothers Caterpillar is seeking a highly skilled Air Compressor Field
Technician for field positions working on Air Compressor equipment as well as
other supporting equipment.

Position Summary:

The focus of this position will be to provide Air Compressor and other
mechanical repairs on a wide range of customers from the mining, construction,
and manufacturing industries. Cleveland Brothers will provide you with the
necessary training and specialty tools to be successful as a technician working
for the largest equipment company in Pennsylvania.

The successful applicant must have relevant working experience and be able to
operate, maintain and repair all types of compressed air equipment. The
successful candidate must also have good human relations skills and abilities as
well as the personality to successfully communicate, and problem solve with
customers. Customer satisfaction is of primary concern.

As a technician you are required to work in an industrial environment which
includes
exposure to significant environmental conditions.

Requirements

• Independently and successfully diagnose and repair reciprocal and screw type compressed air systems and equipment
• Knowledge and aptitude of air compressor control systems
• Knowledge and aptitude of electrical systems including DC controls, VFD’s, motor starters and motors up to 480 Volts.
• Knowledge of desiccant and refrigerated air dryer systems
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Overall stamina
• Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing
• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, listening, and speaking
• Must have good motor coordination skills
• Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet
• Verbal intelligence, and numerical intelligence
• The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold
• Injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• A strong mechanical aptitude, the willingness to learn, a good work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Candidate must meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law.
• Wide range of various working experience is acceptable to the company including technical schools, military background and or job experience.
• Work overtime as needed
