2nd Shift Tarp Fab Lead Shift: 3pm-11pm Job Summary: Manage the safety, quality, production and training of employees within the tarp fabrication area. As a working lead, you will become familiar with each process and eventually be able to train other employees in the safe execution of each job process. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Insure employees are properly trained in Safety with regard to their position Train new employees Supervise team performance and productivity; supporting individual training and development. Work in assigned areas to support the needs of the shift and/or the department to ensure quality production and on-time order fulfillment. Encourage teamwork and communication among all Shurco operations. Train, oversee and coach employees, helping to resolve work-related problems and informing the manager as needed. Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly. Identify and resolve production and inventory challenges; working with other leaders to resolve issues. Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements. Operate a forklift, as needed. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathical skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Certificates, license Must have current driver's license and pass a forklift certification test and drive a forklift.
