Position Summary: This position requires skills in metal finishing, blueprint reading and accurate decision-making. The position is responsible for the operations, programming, and maintenance of 2D flatbed laser cutting equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, vocational training
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic problem solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic arithmetic skills

Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining TRUMPF 2D and 3D laser equipment
  • Material handling – loading and unloading sheet metal with forklifts and cranes
  • Programming and setting up TRUMPF 2D and 3D laser equipment – make manual adjustments for cut quality and change cutting paths, troubleshooting
  • Document in-process jobs
  • Shear/trim sheet metal
  • Do surface plate layouts with a variety of inspection tools
  • Changing tech tables for better cut conditions
  • Follow all safety procedures
