About The Position

Under the direction of the Equipment Layout Planning & Design Supervisor, the Equipment Layout Planner & Designer I (2D/3D) will use a variety of 2D and 3D visualization programs and client provided information such as building plans and other supporting architectural drawings to create unique and optimized equipment layouts for fitness facilities and clubs of various shapes and sizes to help our clients visualize our equipment in their space. Duties include 2D and 3D design layouts and the creation of appropriate client-facing presentation materials.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an associate degree in design fields such as Architecture, Graphic Design, and 3D Modeling and Animation.
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in Architectural Design, Drafting, and Presentation using the programs, AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in Graphic Design with a focus on 3D modeling and animation
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in 3D Modeling and Animation using 3D design software such as Rhino, 3D Max, Maya, 3D Blender, Revit
  • Willingness to learn, implement, and maintain Company and Industry safety standards along with Federal ADA compliance standards as it pertains to creating equipment layouts.
  • Will need to learn the program, ECDesign, for specific equipment layout projects. (On-the-job training provided.)

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite software preferred (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with our Commercial sales team in creating 2D fitness equipment layouts and 3D Renders of 2D layouts when required.
  • Create Presentation documentation of both 2D and 3D layout concepts using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Product research as necessary.
  • Utilizes, maintains, and creates 2D CAD icons and 3D models of our fitness equipment. Some collaboration with the marketing and engineering teams will be needed.
  • Support layout meetings with the client and the sales team when reviewing layouts of equipment placement.
  • Ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Gains working knowledge of Matrix commercial sales processes, brand standards, and customers’ expectations to improve the 2D and 3D sales layout processes continually
  • Other projects as needed.
