Join our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Substation team as a student co-op and gain hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of substation facilities. This role provides exposure to real-world utility practices, technical systems, and safety standards while supporting critical projects that keep the power grid reliable.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with databases is a plus.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordination of maintenance and construction activities for substation assets, including scheduling and tracking materials and equipment.
  • Support analysis of maintenance data and help ensure accurate input into company databases.
  • Collaborate with engineering, field communications, and control center teams to learn how projects are planned and executed.
  • Participate in safety initiatives by observing and promoting safe work practices.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying opportunities for efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide general administrative and technical support to the substation operations team.
