About The Position

The Patient Access Training Team develops and delivers training programs that equip teams with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to support patients. We focus on creating engaging learning solutions that build consistency, ensure compliance, and strengthen the overall patient experience. Our work helps drive operational readiness while empowering teams to provide exceptional support across the patient access journey. Our summer internship program is designed to immerse you in a dynamic learning environment, featuring a blend of developmental and social activities. As a Patient Access Training Intern, you will: Contribute to impactful projects supporting 2026 Training deliverables. Apply your technical and business knowledge to patient access initiatives. Showcase analytical strength and creative problem-solving in real projects. Gain exposure to global collaboration in a hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • This position will be Hybrid (1-3 days/week in office), out of Lexington MA.
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of university
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Takeda does not provide sponsorship for internship positions.
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10–12 weeks during the summer months.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later
  • The internship program is 10- 12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26 th -August 14 th or June 15 th - August 21 st )
  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

Responsibilities

  • Create and update training programs and supporting documents.
  • Plan, organize, and measure training and quality initiatives.
  • Support meetings, events, and logistical needs for the Patient Access Effectiveness Team.
  • Assess project planning needs and proactively interact with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members on multiple projects, demonstrating initiative and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Contribute to improving patient access effectiveness through training development and process support.
